Back Massage

Lay Nalani down on a flat surface. Sit down at the base of the mat and slowly roll your back down until you are fully on it. Simply relax, breathe and give your body time to adjust. Initially, the acupressure spikes may not seem super comfortable but once you get used to the feeling, you will start to enjoy it. In order to obtain ultimate results we recommend at least 20-30 minutes per session.

Lower Back Massage

If you often experience pain in the lower back, simply put our Nalani pillow on top of the mat or you can alternatively roll up a towel and place it under the mat to create a curve to hug against your spine.
Another option is to hold both knees close to your chest and rock left and right to stimulate the acupressure points on the lower back. When you get up your body and your mind will feel energized again.

Neck & Shoulder Massage

Many people who suffer from chronic neck pain appeal to our Nalani pillow. Lay down on a flat surface or find a tall-backed chair or couch to sit on. Place your neck on the pillow, so that the pillow’s lower part reaches the top of the shoulder area. For maximum rejuvenation, you can do this for up to 40 minutes. Remember, do what makes you feel comfortable.

Chest & Abdomen Massage

Gently lay down with your tummy & chest on the Nalani mat. The mat should come to the top of your chest. Cross your arms below your forehead and rest your head on them. Don’t use the pillow attachment for this one! Staying in this position 5-10 minutes will relax your body as well as boost your digestion.

Foot & Palm massage

Are you on your feet all day? Then this method is definitely for you! Nalani mat is meant to help alleviate pain in your feet, especially if you’ve been wearing uncomfortable shoes or walking all day. Stand on the mat, preferably with bare feet. You may also put a thin cloth on top of the mat, or wear socks if the sensation is too strong for you. After a while, gently lift one foot up while maintaining your stance. This will increase the effect of the mat on the various pressure points of your foot. For hand massage simply press your palms into your Nalani Mat whenever you need a mental restart.

Skin & Cellulite

Nalani can be used for skin toning, on the thighs, butt and other parts of your body. Our customers claim that regular use of our Nalani mat on certain parts of the body helps to reduce the appearance or even eliminate cellulite. If you work a sedentary desk job, you can place the mat on your desk chair and sit on it while you work and still reap the positive effects. You also want to make sure you’re making healthy diet and exercise choices to supplement the acupressure.
